At Generation Digital, we believe in staying ahead of the curve regarding digital transformation, AI, and workplace collaboration. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome Thomas Jones (TJ) back to the team as our new Chief Digital Officer (CDO).

TJ has been a key part of major digital transformation projects throughout his career, helping organisations modernise the way they work, communicate, and engage with their audiences. His experience spans sports, sustainability, corporate, and the non-profit sector, bringing a unique perspective on how technology can drive meaningful change.

TJ’s career began at the Institute of Arts and Ideas (IAI), the leading organisation for philosophical debate and discussion, where he worked as a Digital Marketing Manager. Since then, he has played a crucial role in shaping digital engagement, customer success, and transformation projects across industries:

  • Manchester United – Led digital and communications strategy for the charity arm of one of the world’s most recognisable brands.
  • Generation Digital (2020-2022) – As Head of Marketing and Ops, helped businesses adopt Asana, and Zoom to power collaboration, and during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic.
  • Forest Green Rovers – A stint as Chief Xperience Officer at the world’s most sustainable football club provided key insights into the role of digital innovation in sustainability and fan engagement.
  • Young Gloucestershire – As Head of Income, Communications, and Data, used technology to drive impact in the charity sector.

Across these roles, TJ has helped businesses and organisations adopt digital tools effectively and in ways that create real engagement, efficiency, and customer success. His deep understanding of marketing, audience engagement, and customer experience makes him invaluable to our leadership team.

As CDO, TJ will be leading Generation Digital’s marketing, customer success, and digital strategy, ensuring that:

  • Our marketing efforts reach the right audiences with the right message.
  • Our customer experience is seamless, from onboarding to long-term adoption.
  • We continue to drive real impact for organisations implementing AI, collaboration, and workplace technology.
